Today we are doing some creative upcycling with a fantastic project: crafting beautiful bead-encrusted votive candle holders using thrifted beads and glass jars. Not only is this project a delightful way to express your creativity, but it’s also eco-friendly by repurposing materials in a stunningly beautiful way.
Check out the video tutorial to watch the process.
Supplies:
Glass jars
Seed Beads
Mod Podge (I like Dishwasher safe)
Paint Brush
Container for glue
Basin for catching stray beads
You want to make sure your glass jars are super clean and dry. To start we are just going to dab on the glue to the glass jar, working in sections.
Once you have an area covered with glue that is a couple of inches wide gently sprinkle the seed beads over the glue. Lots of them will miss and fall into your basin.
Try not to overdo it. You can always add more beads later.
Let that dry. You can use a hair dryer on a low setting if you are impatient like me. 🙂
Continue with the process until your whole jar is covered evenly with beads. Let dry.
Add some candles and enjoy the magic!
