Junk Mail Coasters

Even if you have opted out of receiving junk mail there always seems to be some that sneak through especially bills and things with return envelopes. Instead of trashing them you can use those security envelopes for these quick DIY junk mail coasters.  The inside of the return envelopes come in a myriad of colors and patterns.  After you are done using these coasters you can toss them in the recycling bin.

Supplies:

Junk mail security envelopes
Glue
Scissors
Scrapbook Scissors

First you need to cut your envelopes along the folds so you have long rectangles. Next cut the rectangles in half.

The coasters will be four layers in total. Choose which pieces you want on the outside along with two others for the inside.

Glue the inner layers together.

Then you can glue on the outer layers.

Smooth the paper down after gluing and press firmly. Let these dry completely for the best result.

With your scrapbook scissors trim the outside edges of the coaster.

And it is that simple!

Your coasters are ready to use.

Make a bunch so you always have some on hand!
