I have to say that I am slightly addicted to making this twig doll furniture. The beauty of it is that you don’t need much by way of supplies to get started. It is low cost and also it is very forgiving since it is so rustic. You can have uneven pieces and they still go together. I have made these to use in a fairy garden too. The only issue with that is that the hot glue does not hold up in the rain so would have to swap it out for a more permanent waterproof glue and your drying time will be longer.
Supplies:
Twigs
Hot glue
Wire cutter or garden snips
Scissors
Ruler
Marker
Begin by cutting your twig pieces to about 2″. You will need 8 of these to start.
Glue the sticks together to form the base of the chair seat.
Continue to glue the twigs until you have a square and then glue the legs vertically on the square. You will have to hold the pieces of twig until your glue cools enough so that the twigs do not fall over. (Ask me how I know – hahaha)
Add some thinner twigs to the inside for bracing as shown above.
Flip over your chair base and add a square to the top for the chair back. Next fill in your chair seat with twigs across like this.
You can make a table in the same way you did the chair base just adjust the height of the legs and leave off the chair back. Now you are ready for a tea party. 🙂
