Make these adorable vintage Christmas recycled gift tags from old ornament boxes! I am so excited about these cute tags. They are super easy and really came out great. They are made from old discarded ornament boxes. Since I collect vintage glass ornaments I often have a bunch of boxes that are no longer suitable for storing the ornaments in but I hate to just throw these lovely vintage boxes away. So instead I show you how to repurpose them into gift tags that will add that special touch to your gifts.

Supplies:
Vintage ornament boxes
Glue
Scissors
X-acto knife
Scrapbook paper
String
Jingle Bells
Glitter (optional)
Hole puncher

The first step is to add some scrapbook paper to the back side of the box graphics. This way your tags will look nice on both sides. To do this I just cut up my boxes and glue the pieces with the graphics I want to use onto some light color scrapbook paper. The light color will allow me an area to write a greeting and “To: ” and “From:” on my tag.

Once the box panels are all glued onto scrapbook paper I let them dry completely.

Next is to just trim off all of the excess scrapbook paper around the tag cutting carefully on the edges of the tag.

This part is optional, but I like to add a bit of glitter to my tags. This just gives them a bit of sparkle and depth.

Time to let the glitter dry.

Nest I use a hole punch to make holes in one end of the tags. I group several of them together and tie them together with string.

Add a jingle bell to your tags for a one-of-a-kind gift tag! Aren’t these super cute??? They are ready to tie onto your packages.
